The work was produced in the form of a billboard and placed in an advertising space in Cista Provo, Croatia. The black framed format clearly suggests an obituary. In the Dalmatian hinterland, obituaries were traditionally placed on tree trunks along the road. It was the only form of advertising in these areas before the spread of public advertising.
